The useful answer is rarely “publish more.” Start with the firm’s priority matters, assign a clear job to every page, support claims with evidence and measure whether resulting enquiries fit the practice.

01

Begin with viable-matter demand

Keyword volume is not a business case. Group searches by practice, city, urgency and the likelihood that the searcher can become a suitable client. A smaller query near a hiring decision can be more valuable than a large informational topic.

02

Give every page one clear job

The homepage owns the brand. Service pages explain capabilities. Practice pages own matter-specific expertise. City pages establish genuine market relevance. Guides answer research questions and support commercial pages through contextual links.

03

Build a review and update system

Assign an owner, record the implementation decision and schedule review according to how quickly the underlying platform, market or legal information can change. Improve or consolidate an existing destination before adding a competing page.

04

Measure beyond rankings

Track qualified calls, completed forms, consultation outcomes and retained matters where systems allow it. Rankings explain visibility; they do not prove commercial value.

  • Technical accessibility
  • Lawyer-reviewed practice depth
  • Verified local entities
  • Useful authority
  • Search-to-intake reporting
05

Apply the guidance to qualified intake

Translate the framework into a short list of page, profile, campaign and measurement decisions. Establish a baseline, annotate meaningful changes and judge progress by whether the right prospective clients can find, understand and contact the firm.

Sources to verify before implementation

Platform guidance changes. Check the primary source and record the review date when a recommendation affects a live account.

A useful next step

Apply the framework to your actual market before expanding the page count.
